· You and your prospective employee are legally required to have a signed contract. The responsibilities of the caregiver should be set out in the contract to ensure that the employee is aware of the conditions of employment you are offering, it must cover wages, deductions for accommodation , vacation time and pay along with job responsibilities
· You must also provide accommodation that ensures privacy, such as a private room with a lock on the door. Your caregiver is entitled to privacy and will be paying rent for a room in your house
